A GENTLE, GROUNDED APPROACH TO TRAUMA COUNSELLING IN VANCOUVER, BC
Virtual EMDR and IFS-Informed Counselling for Youth, Parents/Caregivers, and Young Adults in Vancouver, BC
Welcome, your journey toward grounded healing begins here
At Reground Therapy, we support people who appear to be managing on the outside but feel overwhelmed, tense, or emotionally exhausted on the inside - often shaped by years of chronic stress and relational trauma.
We specialize in offering trauma-informed counselling for youth and parents or caregivers navigating complex family and life dynamics who want to feel safer in their bodies, more grounded within themselves, and more connected in their relationships. We also offer counselling for helping professionals who support youth, including teachers, youth workers, social workers and nurses.
Our work is rooted in attachment-based, trauma-focused therapy, including IFS-informed therapy and EMDR. These approaches support the nervous system in gently processing stressful past and present experiences, so you’re no longer stuck in survival mode and you can begin to feel more present, regulated, and connected in your life.
Therapy at Reground is practical, grounding, and deeply personalized. Together, we focus on reducing tension, increasing emotional and bodily awareness, and strengthening your capacity for connection, so life can begin to feel more manageable, meaningful, and aligned.
Based in Vancouver, BC, we offer virtual therapy across British Columbia. Book a free 15-minute consultation to take the first step toward feeling more grounded in your body and your life.
Meet your therapist
Hey, I’m Brooklynn (MSW, RCC)
Many of my clients show up strong for everyone else, doing everything “right,” while inside they feel anxious, reactive, or isolated. They often put the needs of others first, leaving themselves exhausted, overwhelmed, and disconnected from their own bodies and emotions. These patterns can make relationships feel challenging, boundaries hard to set, and it difficult to feel fully seen or safe in your own body.
My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and attachment-focused, with therapy tailored to your unique needs. I draw from IFS-informed therapy, EMDR therapy, mindfulness-based, and somatic practices to help your body and mind process past and present stressful experiences, so you can feel less reactive and more present in your life and relationships.
My clients can expect to feel:
Truly seen and understood, with space to explore all parts of themselves safely
Calmer and more present in their bodies, noticing and regulating sensations and emotions that used to feel overwhelming
More confident and secure in relationships, able to connect with themselves and others with greater ease
Supported in releasing tension, fear, and old patterns, so they can move through life with more balance and choice
Based in Vancouver, BC, I provide virtual trauma therapy and EMDR therapy to clients in British Columbia. I hold a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care, am a 200-hour Certified Yoga Teacher, and have over a decade of experience supporting individuals navigate challenging emotional and relational experiences.

Our Services & Pricing

I work with youth through an attachment-based, trauma-informed lens, understanding that behaviour is often a reflection of underlying needs, stress, and a nervous system doing its best to cope. When youth feel anxious, overwhelmed, shut down, or reactive, it often points to a need for more support, safety, and connection.
In our work together, I focus on building a safe, consistent relationship where youth can feel supported and understood as they navigate adolecence. In our work together we will build skills for regulation, self-reflection, and resilience.
I also work collaboratively with caregivers, recognizing that parenting a young person navigating mental health challenges is complex and deeply shaped by each family’s experiences, strengths, and context. I hope to work with youth and families to support connection, communication, and co-regulation in ways that feel realistic and supportive for everyone involved.

For parents, therapy offers space to better understand your child’s inner world while also tending to your own. We explore how attachment and nervous system patterns show up in your family, and how connection can become the foundation for change.
Many patterns take shape through our relationships and life experiences, often as meaningful adaptations to what was needed at the time. This includes the countless ways parents and caregivers work to support their children, even in the midst of stress, uncertainty, or limited support.

Navigating early adulthood can feel overwhelming and uncertain. If you’re a young adult who feels anxious, burnt out, or stuck in people-pleasing patterns, you’re not alone. A lot of my clients are used to being “the strong one,” but inside they feel overwhelmed, reactive, or disconnected from themselves.
My approach is trauma-informed and body-based, which means we look at both your experiences and your nervous system. Together, we’ll make sense of your patterns, build tools to help you feel more regulated, and create space for you to show up more fully as yourself in life and in your relationships.
Pricing is $180/ 50-minute session. If your extended benefits plan covers Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs), you may be able to submit all or part of your sessions for reimbursement.
